Crunch Loan Center Chris Higgins To Gwinnett

Syracuse, NY (January 5, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have loaned center Chris Higgins to Gwinnett (ECHL).

Higgins, 23, has appeared in six games with the Crunch this season and made his professional debut on October 3 at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Prior to turning pro, Higgins appeared in 159 games over four seasons from 2005-09 with Boston University (HE), accumulating 49 goals, 84 assists and 92 penalty minutes and was a member of the Terriers' 2009 NCAA Division I National Championship Team.

A native of Lynnfield, Massachusetts, Higgins was signed by the Crunch to an American Hockey League contract on July 9, 2009.

The Crunch's next game is Friday, January 8 when they travel to Norfolk to take on the Admirals. The club returns home for a January 16 meeting with Rochester at 7:30 p.m. Season and single-game tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444 or by stopping by the Crunch office in the War Memorial at Oncenter, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
