(Southaven, MS) --- Hey RiverKings fans, don't forget - the 2009 Player Waiter Dinner will be at Dale's restaurant in Southaven on Tuesday, December 1st, benefitting area charities.Sit back and enjoy the best of country cooking while the RiverKings serve you. Your favorite players will be dishing up your choice of Chicken Fried Chicken, Grilled Chicken Breast, Country Fried Steak, Meatloaf, or Chicken Livers with three vegetables: pinto beans, snap beans, purple hull peas, mashed potatoes, cole slaw, candied yams, boiled cabbage, potato salad, carrot salad, cream style corn, fried okra, fruit salad, cinnamon apples, and macaroni & cheese. The child's menu includes choice of hamburger or chicken tenders.
The evening will also feature a donation drawing for select RiverKings items, from limited edition RiverKings logo Fossil watches and fleece blankets to RiverKings ball caps.
All tips and proceeds go toward help "RiverKings With A Cause" (R.K.W.A.C.) club selected charities: Assists for Autism, Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanity (House that Hockey Built), and local Breast Cancer survivor support.
The players will be wearing embroidered chefs' hats and screen-printed bar aprons, which will be available for purchase by silent auction at the R.K.W.A.C. club table on the DeSoto Civic Center arena concourse during home games starting Friday, Dec. 4 and ending during the Friday, Dec. 18th game.
