Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today they have signed forward Chanse Fitzpatrick to a Professional Tryout Agreement (PTO). Fitzpatrick has been playing with the ECHL's Elmira Jackals and he is expected to join the Falcons tonight as they prepare to host the Manchester Monarchs starting at 7:30 pm.Fitzpatrick has appeared in 17 games with Elmira this season collecting 11 goals and nine assists for 20 points and 48 penalty minutes. Fitzpatrick currently leads the Jackals in goals this year. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound native of Cornwall, PEI participated in the 2009 Falcons training camp before starting the season with the Jackals.
The Falcons are back in action tonight as they play host to the Manchester Monarchs starting at 7:30 pm. Springfield also hosts the Portland Pirates at the MassMutual Center on Sunday afternoon starting at 3:00 pm.
