
Hounds trade to 9th position; Rangers send Battani to the Soo

In the latest deal the Hounds acquired the 9th overall pick in today's CHL Import Draft, overage winger T.J. Battani and Kitchener's 3rd round pick in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection in exchange for the Hounds 6th Round Pick in today's CHL Import Draft (previously acquired from Plymouth) and an 8th Round pick in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection.Battani just completed his 3rd season in the OHL and in 178 regular season games has 32 goals, 41 assists, good for 73 points to go along with 160 penalty minutes. He has competed in 21 post-season contests including being part of the Rangers OHL Championship, and Memorial Cup finalist team in 2008.Following this transaction the Hounds are now scheduled to make their first round pick at 10:50 a.m.
