Calgary Hitmen Acquire WHL's Top Goal Scorer in Trade with Moose Jaw Warriors

Calgary, AB - Calgary Hitmen General Manager Kelly Kisio announced today the acquisition of 19-year-old centre Joel Broda and 19-year-old left winger Tomas Karpov from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for 18-year-old centre Brendan Rowinski along with second and seventh round picks in the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft.

"Joel Broda is a dynamic offensive talent and will further strengthen our centre ice position," said Kisio. "Tomas Karpov is a very good skating solid player who played extremely well against us last season in the playoffs."
