New Look Canes Debut Friday

January 8, 2009 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Lethbridge Hurricanes News Release

Lethbridge, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes hope the addition of a couple new faces and a few returnees will help them snap a six game losing streak as they take on the Prince Albert Raiders; Friday night at the ENMAX Centre. Two of the newest Lethbridge Hurricanes are expected to make their "debut in blue" as newly acquired Kyle Beach and Brody Sutter will be in the lineup. The "Finnish Phenom" Juha Metsola will make his much anticipated return to the ENMAX Centre after representing his country at the 2009 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships held in Ottawa and Austin Fyten and Garrett Taylor are expected to make their return from injury after being sidelined after the Christmas break.

The Canes will lock up with the Raiders for the third time this season and will be seeking revenge after their most recent meeting against the pirates on January 2nd, 2009. On that night, the Canes were unable to come up with a win against the Raiders, suffering an 8-2 loss. Mitch Versteeg and Drew Hoff scored Lethbridge's only goals; while Michael Tadjdeh and Brandon Anderson split time in net.

Game time is 7:00 p.m. MST and tickets can be purchased by visiting the ENMAX Centre Ticket Office, the Yates Theatre Centre, by calling (403) 329-SEAT or online at: www.lethbridgehurricanes.com
