(Odessa, TX) - More goaltending changes continue for the Odessa Jackalopes as the team released Dan McWhinney today, and will activate Juha Toivonen off the Goaltender IR later this week.
In nine games with Odessa, McWhinney compiled a 4-4-0 record with a 3.50 GAA and a .886 SV%. McWhinney joined the team on December 5th after Toivonen went down with an injury.
Toivonen began the season as the starting goalie and returns to the team after missing the last 15 games due to an injury suffered in a game against Arizona on December 2nd. In 16 games this year, Toivonen is 9-3-1 with a 2.67 GAA and a .903 SV%. He has been named CHL Goalie of the Week twice this season.
