Jennette McCurdy Appearance Highlights 2008-09 Promotional Calendar

Peoria, Ill. (November 13, 2008) - Jennette McCurdy, "Sam" from Nickelodeon's "iCarly" television show, will be making a special appearance at the Peoria Rivermen game on Friday, Nov. 28 to sign autographs and visit with fans. McCurdy's appearance, presented by CEFCU, is just one of a number of great nights planned for the 2008-09 Rivermen season at Carver Arena.

Current ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" contestant and Disney's "Hannah Montana" regular, Cody Linley, (Jan. 31), WWE legends "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Jerry "The King" Lawler and Koko B. Ware (Dec. 19), and yet-to-be announced high-profile guest, presented by US Cellular, (Feb. 21) will also make appearances at a Rivermen game this season.

The Rivermen will have three special jersey nights where fans will have the opportunity to bid on the game-worn jerseys following the game. On Jan. 31, the Rivermen will wear the white jerseys of their parent club - the St. Louis Blues and on Mar. 7 the team will wear camouflage jerseys as part of "Support the Troops Night." Then on Apr. 3, the Rivermen will turn back the clock and become the Peoria Blades of the old Continental Hockey League.

The St. Louis Blues will be sending some of their players to Peoria to sign autographs on Sunday, Feb. 22. Lucky local couples will have a chance to tie the knot at center ice on Feb. 14 with the annual 105.7 The "X" Weddings on the Ice and Don Granato and Joe Rybar will be inducted into the Rivermen Hall of Fame on Mar. 6.

Giveaways begin this Saturday (Nov. 15) when Rivermen team calendars will be given away to the first 5,000 fans. OSF-St. Francis Medical Center presents the annual Rivermen Hat Night on Feb. 21 and Peoria Air National Guard team posters will also be handed out on Mar. 7. On Dec. 19, Illinois Pork Producers will give away 2,500 eco-friendly bags and Par-A-Dice Hotel-Casino will be giving away chances to win a trip to Las Vegas at the games on Dec. 6 and Mar. 28.

Every Sunday game remains a Comcast/Journal Star/Fun on the Run/Coke Family Day. Kids 12 and under will receive $1 upper bowl admission plus hot dogs, chips and cokes will be on sale for $1 each during the hour prior to the start of the game. Inflatable games, balloon art and face painting will all be available as well as a post-game skate with the team.

On the eight remaining Wednesday games, fans that bring any Nesquik product UPC or blue cap to the Peoria Civic Center box office will receive a buy one, get one free offer on upper bowl tickets.
