Trenton Devils News Release

TRENTON, N.J. (November 7, 2008) - A third period comeback by the Dayton Bombers gave them a 4-3 victory Friday night against the Trenton Devils at Sovereign Bank Arena.

The Bombers scored three unanswered goals, including two by Mike McLean and a game-winner by Justin Bowers with 1:36 left in regulation to snap their three-game losing streak.

Eric Castonguay opened the scoring for Trenton with his fourth goal of the season at the 19:06 mark of the first period, giving the Devils a 1-0 lead. Nathan Schwarzbauer would tie the game on a wrap-around goal midway through the second period.

At the start of the third the Devils came out storming with a quick goal as Jim Henkel scored his first of the season 1:31 into the frame. Tyler Burton added his third of the season with a power play goal at 9:04 to give Trenton a 3-1 lead.

Unfortunately for the Devils, their lead would diminish on two goals by McLean, and a costly delay of game penalty by Dan McGoff with less than two minutes to go set up the goalmouth scramble that allowed Bowers to put it home and give Dayton their win.

The Devils power play went 2-for-4 for the night, keeping alive their streak of scoring a power play goal in every game.
