Lynx Agree to Terms with Brodeur

AUGUSTA, Ga..− The Augusta Lynx agreed to terms with goalie Mike Brodeur, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations John Marks announced today.

"Mike's a reliable goaltender who has the talent to play in the NHL," Marks said. "I'm very excited to be working with him again."

Brodeur, 25, will be playing for Marks for the third time in his career, including stops in Pensacola and Greenville. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound native of Calgary, Alberta, went 10-9-5 with a 2.83 goals against average and a .918 save percentage with the Pensacola Ice Pilots last season.

Brodeur has a record of 46-34-8 with a .922 save percentage and a 2.65 GAA in 88 career regular-season ECHL games with Greenville, Toledo, and Pensacola from 2004-05 through 2007-08. Brodeur also has a 6-7-0 record in 13 AHL games with Norfolk and Rockford from 2004-05 through 2007-08.

Brodeur was originally selected 211th overall by Chicago Blackhawks in the 7th round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

The Lynx return to the James Brown Arena on Friday, Nov. 7th to take on the Charlotte Checkers at 7:30 p.m. for Support the Troops and NASCAR Night. Showcars from Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. will be on hand. Pipeline Clothing will also be at the Arena representing Carhartt clothing.
