Win a Chance to Sit with Ryne Sanborn of Disney's High School Musical at Area Quickway Locations

Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch, along with Quickway, announced today the details of an enter-to-win contest for the chance to sit with Ryne Sanborne, who plays the role of Jason Cross in Disney's High School Musical, during the first period of the Crunch's October 11 home opener against the Rochester Americans.

Fans can enter-to-win by registering at select Quickway locations. The winner will receive four (4) tickets to the October 11 game, along with four (4) special pre-game VIP meet and greet passes and the opportunity to sit with Sanborn during the first period.

Sanborn, 19, has appeared in all three installments of Disney's High School Musical series, including High School Musical 3: Senior Year, which is scheduled to open in theatres nationwide on October 24.

A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Sanborn has also appeared in the television shows Touched by an Angel and Everwood and is scheduled to appear in the 2008 film, The Adventures of Food Boy. In addition, Sanborn was the "Child of Light" at the opening and closing ceremonies at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

An avid hockey fan, Sanborn's childhood dream was to play for the U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team. He played hockey at Taylorsville High School as well as Utah's Under-16 travel team.

Sanborn frequently plays in charity games across the country consisting of National Hockey League alumni and celebrities. He is currently a student at the University of Utah studying architecture.

In addition to participating in the Crunch's opening night ceremonies, Sanborn will be available for autographs in Memorial Hall following the first period.

The Crunch open their 15th AHL season with a home-and-home series against their I-90 rivals, the Rochester Americans. The teams will face-off at the Blue Cross Arena on Friday, October 10, followed by the Crunch's home opener at the War Memorial at Oncenter on Saturday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m. Season and single-game tickets are available by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444.
