Spikes To Give Away Myrtle Beach Trip Friday

(STATE COLLEGE, PA) -The State College Spikes are going all out in the final six games of the 2008 season, and one lucky fan at the Spikes' game on Friday, August 29th will go home with a free trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, courtesy of the Myrtle Beach Area CVB.

"We wanted to give our loyal fans something extra special this season," said Rick Janac, State College Spikes' General Manager. "Thanks to our partnership with the Myrtle Beach Area CVB, we are giving our fans here in State College the chance to take a nice vacation to Myrtle Beach."

As fans enter the ballpark on Friday, they will have the chance to register to win the Myrtle Beach Trip on the concourse. The winner will be drawn and announced in the seventh inning.

The lucky winner will receive accommodations for a three-day, two-night stay in Myrtle Beach, as well as airfare for two. The only requirements for fans to win are that they be at least 18-years-old and they must be present at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on Friday to claim the prize when the winner is announced.

The Spikes return home Thursday, August 28th to face the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (Cleveland Indians) in a two-game series. Thursday will be Stone Broke College Student Night, and will feature an appearance by the Philly Phanatic.
