June 19, 2008 - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announce today that catcher C.J. Bressoud has been assigned to the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes of the California League.

Bressoud has appeared in three games for the Kernels with a .182 BA (2-11) and one RBI. No replacement has been announced by the Angels for the.

With today's transactions, the Kernels roster stands at 24 active players with three players on the disabled list.

The Kernels begin an eight game home stand tonight and host the Quad Cities River Bandits at 7 pm with the gates opening at 6 pm. The home stand continues through next Thursday, June 26.
