Kane County Cougars News Release
GENEVA, IL - Fans are encouraged to make the Kane County Cougars their choice for patriotic entertainment as the organization has a multitude of affordable and family-friendly fun as part of the July 3 and 4 Independence Day holiday hoopla. Here's an in-depth look at both games:
Thursday, July 3 - 6 p.m.
On July 3, fans can start their holiday early by coming to the ballpark as the Cougars entertain the Burlington Bees at 6 p.m. Fans attending the game can take part in a pre-game AUTOGRAPH SESSION with Cougars players, who will be wearing special red, white and blue patriotic jerseys on both nights. Let us fire up the grill for you that evening as the Cougars feature our HOLIDAY PICNIC. Cougars executive chef Rich Essegian is anxiously waiting to prepare a menu featuring grilled steaks, chicken and pork chops, roasted corn, various salads, appetizers, pastries, soft drinks, beer and wine. Trust us - you won't walk away from the ballpark hungry. During the game, our feathered friend BIRDZERK invades the field and performs his comedic act between innings. He's even brave enough to get into the act with players and umpires! SKYDIVERS land on the field immediately following the game, and then we turn off the lights for a spectacular PATRIOTIC-THEMED FIREWORKS SHOW. Be sure to stick around and RUN THE BASES after fireworks.
Friday, July 4 - 6 p.m.
For July 4, we'll start the game at 6 p.m. but not before bringing fans onto the field for another AUTOGRAPH SESSION. The ZOOPERSTARS, an inflatable mascot troupe that the kids love, will be performing on the field between innings. Immediately following the game, fans can watch the JESSE WHITE TUMBLERS prepare for lift-off as the high-flyers execute their award-winning routine. Another booming FIREWORKS SHOW lights up the nighttime sky and will be accompanied by patriotic music. Fans can make a memory and RUN THE BASES after the final boom.
Fans are encouraged to get their seats today as tickets have been going quickly for both dates. Tickets, including picnic reservations for the July 3 game, can be purchased by calling the Cougars directly at (630) 232-8811, ordering online at www.kccougars.com, or visiting the Cougars box office during normal business hours.
