(Jackson, TN) May 6th- The West Tenn Diamond Jaxx extended their winning streak to five games with a 13-3 win over the Mississippi Braves in the first game of a five game series from Pringles Park. The win moves the Diamond Jaxx to 21-10 on the season, good for a first place tie in the Northern Division with Huntsville.

Adam Moore had three hits and five RBI's to lead the Diamond Jaxx sixteen hit attack. The Jaxx got great production from their top three hitters in the lineup as Prentice Redman, Mike Saunders and Marshall Hubbard had two hits and two runs each. Ronnie Prettyman chipped in with three hits and a run driven in.

Doug Fister was the beneficiary of the offensive explosion as the tall right-hander picked up his fourth win of the season. Fister (4-1) allowed three runs on four hits over six innings of work. He walked four and struckout three. The Diamond Jaxx bullpen combined to blank Mississippi on just one hit over the final three innings.

Dan Smith suffered the loss for the Braves, dropping his record to 0-5 on the season. Smith allowed six runs on nine hits in three innings of work. Greg Creek provided the offense with a three run homer.

Game two of the five game series takes place on Tuesday morning at 11:05 CDT. Right-hander Rich Dorman (3-1 2.08) gets the start for the Diamond Jaxx. Mississippi will counter with right-hander James Parr (1-2 5.59).
