Curve and Forever Broadcasting announce marketing partnership
April 4, 2008 - Eastern League (EL1) - Altoona Curve News Release
ALTOONA- The Altoona Curve and Forever Broadcasting today announced a mutual marketing agreement for the 2008 season, which marks the first partnership between the two since the 2004 baseball season. Under the agreement, the Curve will receive a significant marketing and promotional presence on each of Forever's six radio stations in the Altoona market (Froggy 98, WALY 103.9, Hot 100, Rocky 104.9, ESPN Radio 1430 and The Big 1290 AM) while Forever will receive various forms of in-stadium exposure at Blair County Ballpark, the home of the Curve.
For example, Curve General Manager Todd Parnell will make regular appearances on the Rog & Dick Morning Show on WALY 103.9 FM, while Forever Broadcasting on-air personalities will serve as special guest hosts for between-inning contests during Curve home games at Blair County Ballpark. The Curve will also have a significant commercial and marketing presence on each of Forever's six stations, while Forever will receive sponsorship of the first-base dugout top at Blair County Ballpark.
"We couldn't be more pleased to reach this agreement with Forever Broadcasting because it signals the fact that we are mutually committed to building this relationship," said Curve General Manager Todd Parnell. "We understand how important it is to be promoting our promotions and the great events at Blair County Ballpark on each of Forever's six Altoona-area stations and we are looking forward to continuing this partnership for years to come."
"Forever Broadcasting is thrilled to reach this marketing partnership with the Altoona Curve for the 2008 season and we are working on great plans to promote the Curve to the audiences on each of our stations," said Dave Davies, General Manager of Forever Broadcasting Altoona. "Together, the Curve and Forever Broadcasting make a great team and we are looking forward to a great relationship and a great 2008 baseball season."
Real Oldies 93.5 WHPA will remain the flagship radio home of the Altoona Curve Radio Network during the 2008 season, carrying all 142 games live.
