WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Edmonton Oilers have assigned left wing Jean-Francois Jacques to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League.

Jacques, the Oilers third choice (2nd round) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, was scoreless with 33 penalty minutes in 37 games with the Oilers this season. He averaged 7:54 minutes of ice time-per-game.

With Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Jacques has scored at better than a point-per-game pace with 9+15=24 in 22 games. He has registered 34 penalty minutes and is +5 with the Penguins.
