Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI-Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that after 21 home games so far this season the team's attendance is up over 23 percent over the same number of games during the 2005-06 season, the first under new ownership.
Just over half way through their home schedule the Admirals have drawn 112,588 fans for an average of 5,361 per game. That total places them 11th in the American Hockey League in average attendance. If the team were to maintain their average for the rest of the season it would their highest total since the 2001-02 campaign, their first in the AHL. Through 21 games in 2005-06 the team had drawn 91,397 fans or 4,352 per game.
"Admirals hockey is a great value for your entertainment dollar," said Greenberg. "With great hockey added to fantastic giveaways, concerts and an outstanding game presentation, we have created a full entertainment experience for our fans and they have been responding in greater numbers at the Bradley Center."
The Admirals attendance has been particularly strong over their previous 11 games, average 6,828 fans per game since they drew 10,590 people on December 17th against Grand Rapids. During that time the team has pulled in more than 7,000 five times and twice seen crowds in excess of 10,000.
The Admirals are back in action this weekend when they will make team history by playing three straight games at the Bradley Center on three straight days. They kick off the trio with a 7:00 pm game versus San Antonio on Friday before battling the Rampage again on Saturday at 1:30 pm. The Ads will complete the hat trick on Sunday at 4:00 pm versus Houston in a game that was rescheduled from February 28th.
