
Storm Acquire Syvret from London

(Guelph) The Guelph Storm Hockey Club announced that they have acquired second year defenseman Corey Syvret from the London Knights for defensemen Trevor Solomon, a 4th round draft pick in 2007 and a 3rd round pick in the 2008 OHL Priority Selection.
Syvret was drafted in the first round, 20th overall, by the London Knights in 2005. The 17 year old was also named to Team Ontario for the 2006 World Under 17 Championships alongside Drew Doughty.
With the acquisition of Syvret, the Storm now have four of the top 25 picks from the 1989 draft on their roster (Pither (4), Doughty (5), Syvret (20), Arniel (25)).
