Great Smoky Mountain Auto Fest Returns to Smokies Stadium

October 5, 2018 - SEVIERVILLE - The Tennessee Smokies have announced they will host the 2018 Great Smoky Mountain Auto Fest presented by Precision Rod and Custom and Pep Boys alongside The Diner Rats Car Club, Inc. on Friday, October 12 and Saturday, October 13 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The two-day auto event will feature an open car show, autocross, 50/50 raffle, multiple cash giveaways of up to $2,500, Diamond 5 awards, live music, door prizes, and more. 24-hour security will be provided and there will also be a special picnic buffet on Satu... Cubs Name Matt Swarmer Minor League Pitcher of the Year

September 18, 2018 - SEVIERVILLE, TENNESSEE - The Chicago Cubs announced Tuesday afternoon that right-handed pitcher Matt Swarmer has been named the organization's Minor League Pitcher of the Year. This was Matt Swarmer's second year with Double-A Tennessee as he spent a short time with the club towards the end of the 2017 season. Swarmer, 24, went 9-8 with a 3.22 ERA (46 ER/128.2 IP) in 24 starts between Single-A Myrtle Beach and Double-A Tennessee. September 3, 2018 - SEVIERVILLE, TN - The Tennessee Smokies shutout the Pensacola Blue Wahoos by a score of 3-0 to end the 2018 season on Monday. Eddy Martinez led the team with a game-deciding three run double in the third inning. A hot start from Smokies starting pitcher Keegan Thompson kept the game scoreless for five innings.
