July 30, 2025 - YAKIMA, Washington - In the age of the pitch clock, games rarely exceed three hours. Tuesday night was the exception, as the Yakima Valley Pippins walked off the Springfield Drifters in a marathon 18-17 game.
The Pippins relinquished a four-run lead in the top of the ninth inning to send the game to the bottom of the frame. Jack Varney led off the inning, reaching on an error. July 30, 2025 - VICTORIA, B.C. - With Logan Shepherd leading the charge, the Victoria HarbourCats cruised to a 9-3 win over the Kamloops NorthPaws to open the series.
For the third game in a row, the Cats gave up a run in the top of the first inning. A walk and single to start the game was followed up by a Kason Siguenza RBI single to give the NorthPaws the early lead.

July 30, 2025 - A ninth inning comeback effort falls short as the AppleSox lose to Port Angeles 2-1 in the middle game of a three-game set.
JeHee Lee went 1-4, while Davis D'Errico went 1-3 and drove in the team's only run. Izzy Madriaga went 1-4 while Adam Haight went 1-5.
Easton Brooks got the loss after tossing six innings giving up two runs, only one earned, on six hits with five strikeouts and two walks. Aidan Gonzalez pitched two nearly perfect innings giving up just a walk with a strikeout.

July 28, 2025 - Monday morning, West Coast League Commissioner Rob Neyer announced the Baker Tilly WCL Player and Pitcher of the Week.
This week, the Wenatchee AppleSox swept the awards with infielder Izzy Madariaga (Lewis-Clark State) and right-hander Easton Brooks (Utah Tech) receiving the honors.
Madariaga hit safely in all six games for Wenatchee, including four multi-hit efforts. He batted .462 (12-for-26) with a double, 13 RBI and six runs.
