New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release
Damon Hollins drove in a season high five runs for the Omaha Royals in the Omaha 12-4 victory of the New Orleans Zephyrs on Tuesday afternoon at Rosenblatt Stadium. Omaha starting pitcher Kyle Davies worked seven innings allowed no runs on two hits and earned his second win of the season. The Zephyr starting pitcher Brian Stokes struggled walking the first two batters he faced and allowed a season high 11 runs in the loss. The Zephyrs scored a pair of runs in the eighth inning and Gustavo Molina blasted a two run home run in the ninth inning. The Z's and Royals split the four game series.
Game Notes: Brian Stokes outing was 3.1 innings, the shortest by a Zephyr starter this season.... New Orleans allowed 12 runs in the game, the most allowed this season. The Zephyrs will have a scheduled off day on Wednesday their first of the season.
