The New Orleans Zephyrs defeated the Round Rock Express by a score of 9-7 on Saturday.

Two Zephyrs batters were walked with the bases loaded to give the Z's the winning margin in the game, the second one in the eighth inning by former Zephyrs pitcher Travis Driskill to break a 7-7 tie.

Center fielder Chad Hermansen hit a two-run homer to lead the Zephyrs offensively. Hermansen finished 1-4 with the two RBI.

Left fielder Chip Ambres went 3-5 in the game and drove in two runs as well.

Reliever Jon Adkins (2-3) gets the victory for New Orleans as he allowed two runs on three hits in one inning. Joe Smith picked up his first save of the season for giving up only one hit and no runs in the final inning for the Zephyrs.

Driskill (3-3) gets the loss for Round Rock as he gave up five runs on five hits in one inning.

The win gives the Zephyrs a 2-0 lead in the four-game home series. The Zephyrs also claim a four-game lead in the division after a loss by second-place Oklahoma. The Zephyrs and Express will face off again on Sunday in a game scheduled for 2:00 PM CT.
