
Zephyrs top Redbirds, 10-3

The New Orleans Zephyrs defeated the visiting Memphis Redbirds 10-3 on Saturday.
The win gives the Zephyrs nine-straight victories over the Redbirds.
New Orleans starting pitcher Philip Humber (9-5) got the win after giving up three runs on seven hits in seven innings of play. Humber gave up an early two-run home run to Memphis center fielder Rick Ankiel in the first inning, but settled down to help deliver the victory.
Offensively the Zephyrs broke a three-run tie and put the game away with a seven-run sixth inning. In the inning first baseman Andy Tracy hit a two-run home run, his 19th of the season. Tracy finished 2-4 with three RBI.
Zephyrs shortstop Anderson Hernandez went 2-5 with two RBI and two runs scored.
Memphis starting pitcher Tomo Ohka (0-2) recorded the loss after allowing seven runs on 11 hits in 5.1 innings.
With the Zephyrs out to a 1-0 lead in the four-game home series, the teams will play again on Sunday in a game scheduled for 2:00 PM CT.
