June 30, 2007 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Tucson Sidewinders News Release

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas 51's scored twice in the bottom of the eighth inning to erase a 4-3 deficit and beat the Sidewinders 5-4 on Friday night at Cashman Field. Marshall McDougal's base hit to right field plated the tying run and a Brian Barden throwing error allowed the go-ahead run to score.

Brandon Medders was charged with the loss as he allowed two hits and a walk in the eighth. Both of the 51's runs came with two outs.

The Sidewinders scored in the first inning on a Robby Hammock double and after falling behind 2-1, tied the game on Alberto Callaspo's second home run of the year leading off in the third.

Jamie D'Antona gave the Sidewinders a 4-3 lead with a two run home run to right in the fifth.

Evan MacLane did not earn a decision but pitched well. The Sidewinders lefty gave up three runs on eight hits in six innings.

Both Robby Hammock and Brian Barden extended their hitting streaks. Barden went 1-4, marking his 13th straight game with a hit, a Sidewinders season high. Hammock was also 1-4, extending his string to 11.

The Sidewinders travel to Sacramento on Saturday to open a four game series against the Sacramento Rivercats. Tucson trails Sacramento by one game in the Pacific Southern division. Right-hander Yusmeiro Petit (7-3, 4.13) starts for Tucson against left-hander Mario Ramos (1-1, 6.00) for the Rivercats. First pitch is at 7:05. The game will air live on COOL 1450 beginning at 6:50.
