
Zephyrs hosting Hornets Night this Sunday

Metairie, LA - The New Orleans Zephyrs and New Orleans Hornets are teaming up for Hornets Night at Zephyr Field this Sunday, August 2 when the Zephyrs host the Iowa Cubs at 6 p.m.
The Zephyrs will wear commemorative jerseys featuring the Creole Blue, Gold and Purple of the Hornets. The Honeybees, Used to Bees and Stingers will each have performances throughout Hornets Night, and the Hornets will have a special guest to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Boudreaux will be joined by Hugo for in-game entertainment, and the night will conclude with post-game fireworks and an opportunity for kids to go on the field and run the bases.
"The Zephyrs organization is thrilled to form this partnership with the Hornets," said Zephyrs General Manager Mike Schline. "August 2 will be a night to remember for both Zephyr and Hornet fans. We look forward to a continued relationship with the Hornets, and hopefully this will become an annual event."
Hornets season ticket holders who have RSVP'd can take part in a free tailgate party that will include free beverages, games and appearances by Hornets personnel. Other fans are encouraged to wear their Hornets gear to the game to receive discounted admission of $5.
