The New Orleans Zephyrs defeated the visiting Memphis Redbirds by a score of 7-6.
Zephyrs starting pitcher Chan Ho Park (2-1) had a solid outing, picking up the win after allowing three runs on six hits in six innings.
Right fielder Lastings Milledge stayed hot, going 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
Catcher Mike DiFelice led the Zephyrs offensively, going 3-4 with two RBI and two runs. DiFelice hit his second homer of the season, a solo shot in the 5th inning.
Center fielder Carlos Gomez's hitting streak ended at 14. Gomez wend 0-5 but did score a run.
Memphis starting pitcher Matt Ginter (1-2) gets the loss after giving up six runs (five earned) on 10 hits in 2.2 innings.
With the Zephyrs jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the series, the teams will face off again on Friday in the final game of the Zephyrs eight-game homestand. The game is scheduled for 7:00 PM CT.
