New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release

ROUND ROCK, Texas - Joey Butler drove home four runs in the Round Rock Express 4-2 win over the New Orleans Zephyrs at the Dell Diamond. The Express reduced its magic number to three with 14 games to play to capture the division title.

Brad Nelson singled to start the second inning and former New Orleans Privateer star Joey Butler launched a two run home run over the centerfield wall to give the Express a 2-0 lead. Butler doubled in third inning to drive in another run. The 25-year-old grounded out in the fifth inning but Esteban German scored giving him his fourth RBI of the contest.

Mark Hamburger pitched six innings and allowed two runs while allowing four hits in his seventh win of the season. The Z's trailed 4-0 in the sixth inning when Ramon Vazquez singled and Vinny Rottino drilled a two run home run to left field.

Tom Koehler allowed four runs in five innings and suffered his first defeat since June 26th in Nashville.

Game Notes - The loss puts the Zephyrs tragic number at one. One more loss and another win by Round Rock would eliminate the Zephyrs from postseason contention. The Z's have 14 games remaining with 9 at home starting on Wednesday. Injured 3b Matt Dominguez took batting practice on Monday and is hopeful to be activated later this week.

Coming Up: The Zephyrs and Express conclude their four game series at 7PM. New Orleans will start RH Alex Sanabia (0-1, 7.50) vs. RH Brett Tomko (7-5, 6.42). RADIO: WMTI 106.1 FM.
