DES MOINES, Iowa - The New Orleans Zephyrs complete a remarkable come-back on Saturday night. The Z's trailed 6-1 in the third inning and would come from behind and defeat the Iowa Cubs 7-6 in 13 innings.
Kevin Kouzmanoff doubled home a pair of runs in the top of the ninth inning to tie the game at 6.
Paul Gran led off the thirteenth inning with a triple and scored with one out when Bryan Petersen grounded out.
The Zephyrs bullpen was outstanding pitching eleven scoreless innings. Zach Phillips pitched two scoreless to earn the win.
Iowa Cubs pitchers struck-out 21 Zephyrs in the game, setting a new franchise record.
