COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - The Sky Sox took advantage of two ninth inning Zephyrs errors to defeat the Z's 4-3 on a cold and windy evening. The Sox have won seven of their last eight games and have defeated the Zephyrs three in a row. The Sox jumped on Zephyr starter Brad Hand for two first inning runs, one unearned following a Zephyrs error. The Z's fought back and scored in the sixth on a Kevin Mattison solo home run. New Orleans tied the game with two seventh inning runs. In the dramatic ninth inning, Tommy Field reached on a catcher's interference. He was advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt. Sky Sox pinch hitter Bobby Scahill singled into centerfield and the runner stopped at third but scored when Mattison's throw sailed over the catcher to score the game winning run. The Z's committed three errors that allowed two unearned runs.
