Metairie, LA - The Pacific Coast League game between the Iowa Cubs and the New Orleans Zephyrs was suspended in the top of fourth with game tied at 1. Iowa had a runner on first with two outs in the top of the fourth as the power went out at Zephyr Field and was unable to be restored. The game will be finished in August when Iowa returns to town followed by a nine inning scheduled date.
New Orleans scored and unearned run in the second without a hit. Iowa countered with a run in the fourth as David Kelton homered. Zephyrs pitcher Doug Sessions was getting ready to deliver the first pitch to Mike Mahoney when the power went out.
