Zach Stewart Earns Fourth Win as Fisher Cats Dump Baysox 8-2

(Manchester, NH)-Zach Stewart allowed one run over six innings, picking up his fourth win, as the Fisher Cats snapped a five-game losing streak with an 8-2 win over Bowie on Thursday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

Bowie (30-31) took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second on a home run by Brandon Waring. The first of his two home runs in the game was a two-out solo shot and was the only run allowed by Stewart.

The Fisher Cats (36-23) moved in front in the bottom of the third inning. John Tolisano (3-for-4) tripled and scored on a single by Adeiny Hechavarria to tie the game at 1-1. Hechavarria stole second and scored on Darin Mastroianni's single for the lead.

New Hampshire added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Moises Sierra walked and moved to second on a balk. Ricardo Nanita reached on an infield single and stole second base. Both scored on a single by Mark Sobolewski for a 4-1 lead. The single extended Sobolewski's hit streak to 14 games.

The Fisher Cats made it 5-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning on a home run by Travis d'Arnaud and Bowie's Waring homered off reliever Evan Crawford in the top of the seventh inning to make it 5-2.

New Hampshire added a run on a single by Anthony Gose in the seventh inning and Tolisano doubled in two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning.

The homestand continues on Friday night as the Fisher Cats open a three-game set with the Richmond Flying Squirrels. RHP Henderson Alvarez (2-1, 3.22) starts for New Hampshire against Richmond RHP Justin Fitzgerald (4-3, 2.93). An Atlas Fireworks Show will follow the game.
