Moncton Wildcats News Release

The latest Videotron Player of the Week is Moncton Wildcats winger Yoan Loshing. In a pair of road games, the 19-year-old from Lemoyne, Quebec scored five times and added an assist while the Cats went 2-0 on the week.

On Wednesday night in Bathurst, with his club down 2-0 early, Loshing went to work. After assisting on the Wildcats' first goal, he recorded a hat-trick, the third of his career. His second tally of the night, midway through the third period, proved to be the game-winner as Moncton emerged with a 7-4 triumph over the Titan. Loshing was named the game's third star.

The fourth-year veteran stayed on the scoresheet on Saturday night in Sydney. After opening the scoring nine minutes into the game, Loshing would snipe his second game-winner of the week in the late stages of the second period, leading the Wildcats to a 2-1 victory over the Cape Breton Eagles. This time, Loshing was awarded first star honours.

A first round selection of the Wildcats at the 2020 QMJHL Entry Draft, Loshing leads the club in scoring despite missing four games due to injury earlier in the campaign. He has 28 points in 18 games. A 33-goal scorer last season, Loshing was invited to the Colorado Avalanche's training camp earlier this season.
