
Yi Jianlian Dominates in First Legends Home Appearance

Frisco, TX JAN. 08, 2011 - Yi Jianlian gave the home fans a show, pouring in 29 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, but the Maine Red Claws pulled away to win 113-102.
Yi achieved a second double-double in two games, while Sean Williams, also on assignment from the Dallas Mavericks, contributed 23 points and 14 rebounds.
Maine distributed the ball beautifully as six players scored in double figures. Justin Brownlee was the hot hand making 12 of 19 shots for 24 points. The Red Claws were red hot from the field making 51.1% of their attempts, while connecting on 10 of 21 from long range.
The Legends controlled the glass, securing 52 rebounds compared to the Red Claws 36. Maine played with more control of the ball, committing only 12 turnovers in the game while Texas surrendered 18.
Ramon Dyer hustled for his fifth double-double of the season, grabbing 12 rebounds and scoring 14 points. The difference in the game, the Legends inability to hit from beyond the arc as Texas made three of 19 attempts for 15.8% on the night.
The Legends (5-12) now pack their bags for Reno for the NBA D-League Showcase where they start play against the Tulsa (9-7) 66ers at 5:30PM on Tuesday.
