Los Angeles D-Fenders News Release

EL SEGUNDO, CA - The Los Angeles D-Fenders arrived home on a plane from Nevada this morning, only to take the court hours later and pull out a competitive 102-101 victory over the Reno Bighorns on Saturday night at the Toyota Sports Center.

Having trailed for much of the fourth quarter, the D-Fenders (13-6) outscored the Bighorns 11 to 5 with under two minutes left in the game to push their win streak to five games (4th longest in team history). Much like last night, Los Angeles saw contributions from every player on the roster, and once again Elijah Millsap was the game's high scorer as he totaled 24 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Zach Andrews showed activity on both ends of the floor as he totaled 16 points and 15 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season, Brandon Costner added 17 points, four rebounds and six assists, and Courtney Fortson tallied 16 points, nine assists and three steals for the D-Fenders. Additionally, Orien Greene, who totaled six key points along with an assist and a steal with under two minutes remaining, finished with 13 points (4-7 FG), seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks in the win.

Andre Emmett directed the Bighorns (8-9) charge as he totaled 22 points, seven rebounds and six assists while Blake Ahearn put up 21 points (12-12 FT) on 17 shots. Meanwhile, Tyler Honeycutt posted 12 points (5-8 FG) and six rebounds off the bench and Terrance Thomas chipped in 10 points, six rebounds and four assists in the Bighorns loss.

The D-Fenders next travel to Reno for the eighth annual NBA Development League Showcase, which takes place January 9-12. L.A. first plays against the Springfield Armor on Monday, and the game will available for viewing on NBA TV at 3:45 p.m.

For the first time ever, the D-Fenders are offering season ticket packages for the 2011-12 season that include special Lakers ticket purchase opportunities as well as various other incentives.  Walk-up day of game general admission and courtside tickets are also still available for most home games.  Ticket information is available on the team's website (www.d-fenders.com) or by contacting Nima Behboodi at (310) 426-6043 / nbehboodi@d-fenders.com.
