Hartford, Conn - Orelvis Martinez launched his league leading 26th and 27th home runs of the season tallying four RBIs, as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats beat the Hartford Yard Goats 5-1 in front of the 30th sellout crowd and 10th straight Tuesday night at Dunkin' Donuts Park. Grant Lavigne tripled and scored in the sixth inning, accounting for the Yard Goats' only run. Hartford remains 3.5 games behind Portland for first place in the Eastern League Northeast Division.

New Hampshire jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on a two-run shot by Orelvis Martinez in the top of the first inning off Hartford's starter Noah Gotsis. The Yard Goats starter did not allow a hit through the next four frames, limiting the Fisher Cats to two runs over five innings. Hartford loaded the bases in the first inning off New Hampshire's starter Adam Kloffenstein, but were unable to score.

The Blue Jays affiliate tacked on two more on Martinez's second two-run homer in the sixth. The Yard Goats responded with one run in the bottom of the inning. With two outs and nobody on, Grant Lavigne tripled to right field and came home on an error, cutting New Hampshire's lead to 4-1. Sebastian Espino's solo shot in the ninth extended the Fisher Cats' lead to 5-1.

The Yard Goats continue their homestand against the Blue Jays affiliate, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, on Wednesday night at 7:05. RHP Noah Davis will start for the Yard Goats and RHP Alejandro Melean will start for the Fisher Cats. The two squads will battle it out five more times, with the series concluding on Sunday afternoon.
