FLORENCE, KY - The Florence Y'alls (20-18), presented by Towne Properties, saw their bats come alive and then some in a 15-8 series-tying victory against the Evansville Otters (22-16) at Thomas More Stadium on Saturday evening.

After scoring five runs over its past two games, Florence got off the launching pad in the first inning. After a leadoff single by designated hitter Craig Massey and a walk to right fielder Ray Zuberer, first baseman Brennan Price clubbed a three-run home run to put the Y'alls ahead 3-0. The homer marked Price's fourth in five games. Evansville quickly tied the game in the next half-inning when center fielder Noah Myers hit a three-run home run of his own, but the game wouldn't stay tied for long.

Florence broke the game open in the third during a seven-run rally. 10 Y'alls batters came to the plate and all but three scored against a pair of Evansville pitchers. Second baseman Harrison DiNicola singled, shortstop Jeremiah Burks hit a sacrifice fly, and left fielder Sam Plash singled to drive in the first three runs before Craig Massey hit a grand slam to cap the rally. The home run marked Massey's second of the year, second in the last four games, and put the Y'alls up 10-3.

Evansville answered with a four-run rally in the fifth off Florence starter Jestin Jones (4.2 IP, 7 H, 7 ER, 4 BB, 7 K), but righthander Carter Poiry came in to induce a bases-loaded lineout to strand the tying run at first. Florence padded its lead in the eighth when Harrison DiNicola singled home Ray Zuberer. After third baseman Brian Fuentes singled, catcher Zade Richardson hit a three-run home run to punctuate a high-scoring day for the Y'alls and put them ahead 15-8. Righthander Brian McKenna worked a scoreless ninth inning to secure the victory.

The series between Florence and Evansville is now even at 1-1. The Y'alls try to take two straight and win the series on Sunday, June 25th. First pitch between the Y'alls and Otters at Thomas More Stadium is set for 1:07 p.m. ET.
