
Xplosion win for the first time this season

Pittsburgh Xplosion News Release
Detroit, MI. The ABA Pittsburgh Xplosion held off a fourth-quarter comeback by the Detroit Wheels to earn their first victory of the season, 105-102 in an exciting game. The visiting Xplosion led by 24 points at the end of the third quarter before the Wheels put their offence into overdrive, outgunning the Xplosion 39-18 in the fast and furious final quarter to narrow the gap to just 3 points.
Coleco Buie and Josh Murray led the Xplosion with 26 points each and Maurice Carter, a new addition to the roster, chipped in 11. Isaac Jefferson grabbed 11 rebounds for the Xplosion and Jamar Wesley handed out 5 assists.
Chris Acker of the Wheels led all scorers with 29 points. Paul Hanes poured in 26 and Willie Mitchell added 25 for the Wheels. Detroit's Myron Brown (no relation to the Xplosion player with the same name) snared 12 rebounds and Hanes recorded 2 assists.
The victory improved the Xplosion's record to 1-2 while the defeat in their season opener left the Wheels at 0-1. The Xplosion wrap up their two-game road trip against the Wheels tonight and then return to Pittsburgh for a home game Friday, November 25th against the Kentucky Colonels at the Peterson Events Center at 7pm.
