Former Miami Dolphins star to serve as radio guest analyst

November 16, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Miami Majesty News Release

Sunrise, FL. The ABA Florida Pit Bulls, South Florida's newest professional sports team, announces that former Miami Dolphins safety Louis Oliver will be the guest analyst for the Pit Bulls radio broadcast and home opener Sunday.

Oliver, a South Florida resident and former University of Florida standout, will be the first of many celebrity analysts on the broadcasts and will team with Pit Bulls Director of Broadcasting and Play by Play announcer Tony Calatayud for the Nov 20th game versus Orange County.

"I think Louis will bring energy and an athlete's viewpoint to the action," stated Calatayud. "Our desire is to have fun by bringing in well known individuals and giving them a platform to showcase their personality in a setting that they are not used to. It's part of the uniqueness of the ABA experience we are trying to create."

One innovation on the Pit Bulls broadcast will be the advent of celebrity guest analysts that will be joining Calatayud on the broadcast team. They will come from sports, politics and entertainment. Also, the team will conduct a contest for a fan to win an analyst position for one of the Pit Bulls contests. Radio and TV partners for the Pit Bulls will be announced shortly.

The home opener will be Sunday, Nov 20 at the BankAtlantic Center against former NBA star Cedric Ceballos and the Orange County Buzz at 530pm. All 18 home games will be broadcast on NewsTalk 1360 WKAT. For more information, email tonycalatayud@yahoo.com or call 305 781 5901 or visit www.floridapitbulls.com or www.abalive.com. -
