Cedar Rapids RoughRiders News Release

Cedar Rapids, Iowa- Marvel Comics Superhero Wolverine of the X-Men will appear this Saturday night at the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders' home game against the Tri-City Storm. The game begins at 7:05PM.

Wolverine is just the latest superhero to make an appearance at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. The Thing and Spiderman (who will return later this season) both wowed fans young and old at the ice arena last year.

X-Men 3, one of the action hits of last summer in theaters, is now available on DVD. The first two films of the trilogy, X-Men and X-Men 2, are both now in stores as well.

The arrival of Wolverine is just the latest in a series of family-oriented promotions at RoughRiders games this season. Next up is Chuckie from the RugRats, who will be on hand during the Riders' December 2 game against Chicago.

The Riders (2-1-0, 4 points) will open the weekend on the road against the Sioux Falls Stampede Friday night before returning home to meet Tri-City Saturday evening.

Tickets for all remaining RoughRider regular season home games- including Saturday night's- are now on sale. Tickets are available for purchase in person at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office, over the phone at (319) 261-4625 or on line at www.roughridershockey.com. The ticket office is open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Ticket prices range from $7 to $17 in advance and from $8 to $18 on game days.
