WCW and WWE legend Diamond Dallas Page will be on hand Friday, August 28th at FirstEnergy Stadium for Tribute to Professional Wrestling Night thanks to All Star Distributing and Pabst.
Page will be signing free autographs in Tompkins VIST Bank Plaza throughout the night. In addition, for just $20, fans can meet him in an exclusive pre-game VIP Meet-and-Greet from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. and have the opportunity to perform yoga on-field with DDP. Tickets to the VIP event are limited and available here: http://atmilb.com/1hjBWFp.
The night also features a post-game fireworks show presented by Carpenter Technology Corp and post-game wrestling show from CHIKARA. CHIKARA is a fun-filled lucha libre super party with wrestlers like Dasher Hatfield, The Ol' Timey King o' Swing!, and Chuck Taylor, The Kentucky Gentleman!
Page was one of the most decorated champions of 1990s and over his two decade career, was a three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, two-time WCW United States Heavyweight Champion, four-time WCW World Tag Team Champion, one-time WCW World Television Champion, WWE European Champion, and WWE World Tag Team Champion.
A former nightclub owner, Page began his wrestling career in 1988 as a manager in the American Wrestling Association and then, in World Championship Wrestling (WCW), of The Fabulous Freebirds and WWE Hall of Famers "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig and Madusa. At the age of 35, he made the transition to become a professional wrestler and rose through the ranks to become a main event talent.
With his finishing move "The Diamond Cutter", Page gained notoriety as he feuded with the popular New World Order (nWo) stable that featured Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage. His success in wrestling crossed over to the mainstream and partnered with celebrities Karl Malone and Jay Leno in battles against the nWo.
In 1999, Page captured his first WCW World Heavyweight Championship and stayed with WCW until the company was purchased by Vince McMahon and WWE in 2001. He had championship reigns and rivalries against The Undertaker, Kane, and Christian before leaving the company in 2002.
During his career, Page suffered major injuries to his neck, back, shoulders, and knees. He answered these debilitating injuries by founding DDP Yoga, a revolutionary fitness system that places no pressure on joints, elevates cardio levels, develops core strength and flexibility, promotes body fat loss and increases lean muscle growth. The program is currently used by professional football players, professional wrestlers, MMA fighters, and regular everyday people who want to perform at optimum levels.
Tickets to see the Reading Fightin Phils as they fight for a championship are available by visiting Fightins.com, calling 610-370-BALL, or by visiting the Fightins Ticket Office located at FirstEnergy Stadium.
