
Wrestling Champion Judas Young at FirstEnergy Park on August 20

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - On Thursday, August 20th, the Lakewood BlueClaws and Independent Superstars of Professional Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Judas Young will attempt to body slam Muscular Dystrophy. For the BlueClaws 7:05 pm game against the Hagerstown Suns, Young will be on hand to throw out a first pitch and sign autographs in promotion of their event which will help raise money and awareness for the 44th annual Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon.
The Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon is a very prestigious and long-running charity event that has raised more than $1.40 billion to date and the ISPW will be doing their part this year to help raise money and awareness. The ISPW's "The War to Settle the Score" will take place on Saturday, August 22nd at ISPW Arena in Freehold.
The BlueClaws encourage fans to come out and see Young throw out the first pitch on August 20th and to support ISPW in their help of the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon. Also on August 20th, the BlueClaws will host a Thirsty Thursday in the Coors Light WRAT Trap in centerfield. Through last call, the BlueClaws will offer $1 Coors and Coors Light drafts, $1 soda and .50 cent wings in the WRAT Trap as well as live music from 6-7pm before the game. This is the final Thirsty Thursday of the regular season! There will also be a beer tasting in the outfield concourse, which includes an all-you-can-eat buffet, tickets are still available. The night is also Hockey Night and the Monmouth University Pep Rally, presented by County Line Hardware.
The Lakewood BlueClaws have led the South Atlantic League in average or overall attendance in each of their eight seasons. This year, they are expected to become the fastest team in both South Atlantic League and New Jersey history to eclipse the 4-million fan plateau.
