December 13, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today a trade with the Greenville Road Warriors which sees forward Scott Pitt coming to Las Vegas in exchange for defenseman Bretton Stamler and left wing Chris Collins.
Pitt, 23, collected five goals and 15 points in 23 games with the Road Warriors this season, and has already appeared in one American Hockey League game with the Connecticut Whale. The 6-foot, 175-pound left wing was also part of the 2011-12 Florida Everblades squad that went on to win the 2012 Kelly Cup, with Pitt being named ECHL Rookie of the Month in March 2012 as his seven goals and 19 points helped the team to an 11-3-0 record for a final playoff push. Overall, Pitt recorded 22 goals and 58 points in 63 regular season Everblades games, and tacked on an additional three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in the playoffs. Before turning pro, the Ottawa, Ontario native spent four years at Mercyhurst College, putting up 132 points (47 goals, 85 assists) in 156 games.
Stamler, 25, picked up one goal and 35 penalty minutes in 15 games with the Wranglers this season. Collins, 28, notched a goal and an assist in eight games for Las Vegas before being loaned to the AHL's Springfield Falcons last week.
The Wranglers' next home game is Sunday, Dec. 16, as the puck drops against the Bakersfield Condors at 11:59 p.m. for the team's 10th annual Midnight Game. Fans are encouraged to "black out" at the arena with dark clothing, and Tony Clifton will perform throughout the night.
Celebrating 10 seasons of Wranglers hockey this year, group events are available at all home games, including pre-game ice skating parties, private luxury suites, and rink-side catered party boxes. Groups of ten or more can sit together starting at $13 per ticket, and feature perks such as in-game group recognition and "buy one, get one free" Chuck-A-Puck vouchers. Take advantage of the best deals by calling the Wranglers front office at (702) 471-PUCK . The Wranglers play all 36 regular season home games at Orleans Arena, located next to the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Ave.
