Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers© have announced that the game on Friday, November 6th, will be Food Drive Night to benefit Three Square Food Bank.
Beginning at 8:00 AM on November 6th, the Wranglers and Three Square Food Bank will be accepting donations of cash and non-perishable items in an attempt to 'Fill the Mayflower', a Mayflower Truck that is, just in time for the holidays. 100% of all donations will benefit Three Square Food Bank. The drive will be held outside of the Southeast entrance of the Orleans Arena.
"Three Square Food Bank provides an invaluable service to the Las Vegas Valley. With the need for donations at an all-time high we are thrilled to host this event to support the cause." said Wranglers Vice President Michael Delay.
For a minimum donation of five non-perishable items, participants will receive a complimentary ticket to that night's game. Additional incentives are being offered by Sammy's Woodfired Pizza and metroPCS. Large donations will also have a chance to win one of several dinners for two from Sammy's Woodfired Pizza.
The Wranglers are encouraging fans to make larger contributions by including the opportunity to receive Wranglers season tickets for the remainder of the 2009-10 season for both the largest single food donation and largest single cash donation on the day of the event.
Area 107.9 will broadcast live at the food drive from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
Food Drive Night is just one of several activities planned for Three Square Food Bank. On October 20th the entire Wranglers team visited the Three Square campus and participated in the BackPack program, assisting in the packing of over 1,400 backpacks. After taking a tour of the campus, Wranglers forward Ned Lukacevic pledged to make a donation for every goal he scores this season.
Additionally, should the Wranglers reach post-season play, they will again partner with Three Square on the annual tradition of Mac & Cheese Nights during the 2010 Kelly Cup Playoffs.
