
Wranglers All-Star trainer heading to AHL

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today Head Athletic Trainer Mike Hannegan has accepted a position with the American Hockey League's Peoria Rivermen.
Mike Hannegan spent the last three seasons with the Wranglers, joining the team in September of 2003. The ECHL selected Hannegan to participate in the 2006 ECHL All-Star Game in Fresno this past January. The California native spent the past five seasons in the ECHL with Las Vegas, Richmond and Macon. The 32-year old trainer holds a degree in athletic training exercise physiology from Chapman University and a master's degree in athletic training from California University of Pennsylvania. Hannegan will move to Peoria along with his wife Kelly, and their son Aiden.
"I am thankful for the opportunity I had to work for the Las Vegas Wranglers organization", said Hannegan. "I can't thank the ownership, coaching staff and front office enough for an enjoyable three years. I'm extremely excited to continue my career with the Peoria Rivermen and the St. Louis Blues organizations. It's an excellent way for me to continue expanding my career to the highest level."
The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue. The Wranglers host the Phoenix Roadrunners for the home opener on Tuesday, October 24th at 7:05 pm.
