BOWLING GREEN, KY - The Bowling Green Hot Rods topped the Lansing Lugnuts X-X in a marathon game at Bowling Green Ballpark this inning. The two teams combined to score 11 runs in the fourth inning alone, pounding out 10 total hits as 19 hitters came to the plate.

Lansing got a lead off home run in the second inning from RF Ryan Noda, and it was 1-0 Lugnuts.

Bowling Green responded in the bottom of the second when LF Moises Gomez doubled to left field, and it scored SS Taylor Walls.

Things got crazy in the fourth.

Lansing sent eight batters to the plate, using five hits, to score four runs and take a 5-1 lead.

Bowling Green responded in the bottom of the inning with a big inning of their own. The Hot Rods sent 11 batters to the plate, and the first seven hitters all reached and all scored. The inning was highlighted by back-to-back home runs from DH Trey Hair and C Ronaldo Hernandez, making the score 8-5 Bowling Green.

The Hot Rods have now collected three seven-run innings this season, two of which have come against Lansing.

Hot Rods pitchers retired the final 14 Lugnut hitters tonight.

RHP Justin Marsden (1-0, 0.00) earned the win in his Bowling Green debut. RHP Tyler Zombro earned his sixth save of the season.

The Hot Rods will look for the sweep tomorrow evening at 6:35pm Central. RHP Paul Campbell (3-1, 3.38) will go for the Hot Rods, while the Lugnuts will counter with RHP Donnie Sellers (6-3, 4.23).
