
World Series Trophy And High School All-Star Games Headline Promotion Filled Weekend

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester Sharks (@WorcesterSharks), proud American Hockey League affiliate of the San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) announced today an action/promotion packed weekend planned at the DCU Center in Worcester which includes a visit from the World Series Trophy on Friday!
Friday, the Sharks welcome the Springfield Falcons at 7:30pm! Make sure to wear your Red Sox gear as the World Series trophy will be available for pictures inside the DCU Center concourse from 6:30-8:30pm! Enjoy $2 hot dogs, popcorn, and soda for every Friday night game with tickets as low as $10! The game will be shown live on Charter TV-3 with coverage beginning at 7:30pm.
Saturday, the Sharks host the Hershey Bears at 7pm. Doors open at 1:30pm for the Massachusetts State Hockey Coaches Association High School All-Star Games presented by Shriners beginning with a 1:45pm start for the girl's game followed by a 4pm puck drop for the boys. The All-Star Games will feature the state's top 92 high school senior boys and girls from MIAA schools, as selected by the MSHCA.
This will be the 5th annual boy's All-Star game and the 2nd year for the girl's game. Admission to the MSHCA High School All-Star Games presented by Shriners will be $11 in advance and $16 at the door, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston.
Five previous MSCHA All-Stars have been drafted by NHL clubs;
- Brian Pinho (St. John's Prep - 174th pick by Washington in 2013)
- Chris Leblanc (Winthrop HS - 161st pick by Ottawa in 2013)
- Sam Kurker (St. John's Prep - 56th pick by St. Louis in 2012)
- Brendan Collier (Malden Catholic HS - 189th pick by Carolina in 2012)
- Colin Blackwell (St. John's Prep - 194th pick by San Jose in 2011)
A ticket to the All-Star games will also allow fans to attend the Sharks' match versus the Hershey Bears that evening at 7pm.
