
Coyotes Sign Greg Carey to Entry-Level Contract

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have signed free agent forward Greg Carey of St. Lawrence University (Eastern College Athletic Conference) to a one-year entry-level contract. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
The 6-foot, 195-pound Carey recorded 18-39-57 and 39 penalty minutes (PIM) in 38 games with the Saints. He leads the country in assists and ranks second in the nation in points.
In 2012-13, the Hamilton, Ont., native registered 28-23-51 and 38 PIM in 38 games with St. Lawrence. He led the nation in goals and power-play goals (14) and became the first junior in Saints history to be selected as a Hobey Baker Award finalist.
Carey will report to the Portland Pirates (AHL) on Thursday.
