
Worcester Sharks Host Birthday Party For Kenda The Polar Bear

WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks President and CEO Michael T. Lehr announced today that the Worcester Sharks will host a 25th birthday party for Kenda the polar bear from EcoTarium when the Sharks host the Hershey Bears at the DCU Center on Sunday, January 4th at 4:05p.m.
EcoTarium is celebrating Kenda's birthday for two months! Born on December, 1 1983 at the EcoTarium, Kenda is the first polar bear to be born and raised in New England.
Orson, the polar bear mascot from Polar Beverages, will drop the ceremonial first puck along with Steve Pitcher, the president of EcoTarium.
EcoTarium will set up a "touch and feel" table in the concourse where young Sharks fans will have the opportunity to learn more about polar bears.
During the 1st intermission, fans will be invited to sing "Happy Birthday" to Kenda the polar bear and other young Sharks fans celebrating their birthdays. Sweets on Shrewsbury Street in Worcester has provided a "fish" cake especially for Kenda.
Sharks fans may purchase the Papa Gino's Family Value Pack which includes four teal level tickets for just $12 each and a free large Papa Gino's rustic pizza.
The EcoTarium is a unique indoor-outdoor museum in Worcester.
