Columbus Recalls Right Wing Maksim Mayorov

Syracuse, NY (January 3, 2009) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have added right wing Maksim Mayorov to their roster on emergency recall.

Mayorov, 19, has appeared in 33 games with the Crunch this season, notching seven goals, nine assists and 20 penalty minutes. He made his North American debut and played in his first game as a member of the Crunch, October 10 at Rochester and recorded his first point, a goal, October 11 vs. Rochester.

A native of Leninogorsk, Russia, Mayorov was drafted by Columbus in the fourth round, 94th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

The Crunch's next game is Saturday, January 3 as they travel to Cleveland to take on the Lake Erie Monsters. The Crunch return home on January 16 as they take on the Albany River Rats at the War Memorial at Oncenter at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at 315-473-4444, stopping by the Oncenter Box Office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling Ticketmaster at 315-472-0700.
